Man arrested after he allegedly assaulted staff member at mall

A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault at a Macy’s store in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to police, police responded to a report of a person being assaulted at the Macy’s in the 1600 block of Northeast 6th Street around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Police say a woman, identified as 35-year-old James M. Davis, told them she was assaulted by Davis while working at the store.

She also said Davis had been at the mall before.

A video of the alleged assault shows Davis, who is seen walking away from the victim.

A police report says Davis was arrested at the scene and is being held at the Cobb County Jail.

He has been charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to commit an aggravated felony.
