What you need to know about UCF football
It was a tough night for UCF and they fell to Louisville, 20-16, on Sunday.
The Knights took a 21-17 lead into halftime.
UCF’s offense took a beating as they struggled to score any points.
The offense struggled from the beginning, especially in the first half.
UCFs only touchdown came from a 3-yard run by T.J. Williams.
The other two came on 3rd and 1, with a 4-yarder from a 2nd-and-goal run by Tyler Palko.
The Cardinals scored again after a 1st-and 10, but UCF again struggled to generate any points as the Knights rushed for just eight yards.UCF’s defense was also underwhelming, allowing just 13 points in the game.
UC F’s linebackers were flagged for holding on to a ball that fell incomplete at the goal line.
The Knights got off to a great start and got a couple first downs on 3 of their first three possessions.
Then, UCF scored the game’s first touchdown on the next drive, a 3rd-and 20 play from the UCF 25.
UCFB also had a few plays that led to touchdowns in the second half, including a 10-yard scoring run by sophomore receiver Jalen Williams.UCFB scored on the second play of the second quarter, on their first drive of the game, to tie the game at 20-20.
The Cardinal then converted a 2-point conversion on their next drive.
UCf then scored on their third drive, but the Knights’ defense held them to just 13 yards on two other drives.UC F was unable to capitalize on any of their possessions, which led to the Cardinals’ first touchdown of the season, a 10:12 second-half drive that resulted in a 3nd-down conversion.UCFC’s defense did their part in stopping the Cardinals from scoring, though.
The defense allowed just 11 points, including three touchdowns, in the final quarter of the contest.
The Cardinals were able to hold UCF to 17 yards on three drives in the fourth quarter.
The team finally broke a scoreless tie on a 7-yard pass from Jalen Charles to Tyler Pisko.
UCFC finally came away with a win, however, as the Cardinals came away victorious, 23-21, on the road against the University of Florida.
